Colin Martin

Project Director, Barton Malow

Colin Martin is a Project Director with Barton Malow in Southfield, Michigan. Through his work in the industry for over the past 25 years he has gained experience and knowledge in a wide range of project types focusing on Healthcare, Mission Critical, Bioscience, and Telco, in all project phases. Colin is an experienced design builder utilizing all aspects of LEAN Principals and has implemented prefabrication initiatives on his projects since 2012.  Colin is the Preconstruction and Operations lead, as well as the Prefabrication Champion for the McLaren Greater Lansing Replacement Hospital.

Bob Gallagher

MEP & Prefabrication Project Manager, Barton Malow Company

Bob is an experienced project manager with Barton Malow based out of Southfield, MI.  He is a graduate from the Michigan State University construction management program.  Bob is the project lead for the McLaren Greater Lansing prefabrication program and has spent the last three years managing two high profile projects in the Midwest for Barton Malow as the MEP Project Manager.  Bob is well versed in lean principles and implements them on the jobsite regularly.  He is knowledgeable in a wide variety of project types including K12, healthcare, aviation, industrial, commercial office space and sports.

Keith Berry

Senior Project Manager, The Christman Company

As senior project manager, Keith brings to his role extensive experience in and knowledge of healthcare facilities. Over the course of his 22 year career with Christman, Keith has overseen more than $500 million in healthcare construction on projects including replacement hospitals, medical office complexes and various department renovations. Keith has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University, is a LEED accredited professional and has received his Healthcare Construction Certificate from the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE).

Dan Medrano

Vice President of Facilities Management, McLaren Health Care Corporation

Mr. Medrano is the Vice President of Facilities Management for the McLaren Health Care Corporation.   The McLaren system includes 15 hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, a 490-member employed primary and specialty care physician network, commercial and Medicaid HMOs covering more than 588,000 lives in Michigan and Indiana, home health and hospice providers, retail medical equipment showrooms, pharmacy services, and a wholly owned medical malpractice insurance company.  McLaren operates Michigan’s largest network of cancer centers and providers, anchored by the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, one of only 51 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the U.S. McLaren has 26,000 employees and more than 85,500 network providers. Its operations are housed in more than 350 facilities serving Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana.

In his position, Mr. Medrano is responsible for system wide strategic construction, energy management to include energy procurement, real estate, and physical plants, as well as executive over-site of the design, construction, and equipping of the McLaren Greater Lansing replacement hospital at Michigan State University’s Research Park, a $601 million dollar program.

Eric Wingelaar is a Project Manager with Harley Ellis Devereaux (HED) in Southfield, Michigan. Through his work as an Architect and Project Manager he has gained experience and knowledge in a wide range of project types in all project phases. Eric is a member of the American Association of Architects (AIA) and is a licensed architect in Michigan and Ontario (Canada). He is also a LEED Accredited Professional.

Alan is responsible for leading Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) strategy and Building Information Model (BIM) implementation at Barton Malow.  With 13 years of experience in BIM-based project delivery, he is well-suited to shepherd the initial technology planning and BIM collaboration effort to maximize team coordination, communication, and transparency.  Alan is a Registered Architect with proficiency in a wide range of technology & software solutions.
