As the use of design-build continues to grow, and projects become more complex, Owners increasingly rely on Owner Advisors. However, the role of the Owner Advisor in Design-Build Done Right ® is often misunderstood, inconsistently applied, or insufficiently defined, leading to misaligned expectations and, in some cases, diminished project outcomes. This course clarifies the intended role, responsibilities, and limits of the Owner Advisor within a design-build environment. Designed for Owners, professionals who provide Owner Advisor services, and Design-Build teams. This course establishes a shared understanding of how effective Owner-Advisor relationships support Design-Build Done Right® and lead to better outcomes for all project stakeholders.

One of the hallmarks of design-build project delivery is early knowledge of costs. This course introduces the fundamentals of conceptual estimating and how to go about assessing risk and calculating costs before design is complete. (6 CEHs)
