Design Integration Management (8 CEHs) This course provides a comprehensive overview of the design integration management process within design-build projects, emphasizing the critical role of the Design Integration Manager. Participants will explore how design integration truly works—not as a single task, but as a continuous, collaborative process that begins before award and carries through to construction and close-out. Led by experienced instructors, attendees will gain insight into how effective design integration “sets the table” for project success by reducing risk, improving coordination, and keeping teams aligned with the owner’s goals. Throughout the day, participants dive deep into what the Design Integration Manager does, why it matters, and how each decision impacts project outcomes. This course is intentionally interactive. Attendees engage in case studies, role-play activities, and group discussions that mirror real project challenges. The result is not just knowledge, but practical confidence that participants can immediately apply on their next project. By the end of the day, participants will: • Understand the full design integration process and its impact on project success • Describe the responsibilities and value of the Design Integration Manager • Recognize how to manage design risk, cost, schedule, and expectations proactively • Understand how to align owners, designers, and builders through every project phase • Understand how to strengthen the communication, leadership, and facilitation skills essential to the Design Integration Manager’s role

Design integration management is the “secret sauce” for success on design-build projects. As a result, many design-build teams are now assigning a dedicated Design Integration Manager, tasked with aligning the work of design and construction teams into a cohesive and coordinated effort. This webinar provides a brief overview of the history of design integration management — what it means, why it’s important and who can benefit — and shares the real perspectives of an Owner, design-builder and designer on their experiences working as or alongside Design Integration Managers, as well as the value they see in the design integration management process.
