How can agencies take full advantage of the opportunities to engage the Design-Build Industry (builders, designers, key trades, suppliers and manufacturers). This webinar will share some of the unique strategies, including creative Industry Days, which Agencies/Public Owners are implementing to attract the best Design-Builders with their “A Teams.”  It will highlight how these interactions, when properly executed, can improve acquisition outcomes, enhance transparency and strengthen partnerships with the private sector.

Our presenters will emphasize how strategic engagements support Design-Build best practices by promoting early discussions, collaboration, shared understanding and better project delivery. They will share their own experiences, providing practical guidance and clarifying what’s allowed under current OMB policies and the Federal Acquisition Regulation.

The webinar also serves as a lead-in to DBIA’s reimagined “Federal Sector Design-Build Industry Days” event in August, which will provide opportunities to all Federal agencies to engage with the industry, learn about the current cost drivers and share their procurement forecasts.

Learning Objectives:
• Understand the current flexibility and strategies for agency/industry engagement opportunities.
• Dispel common misconceptions that make some agencies hesitant to fully take advantage and reap the benefits of conducting effective discussions with their Industry Partners.
• Illustrate how industry engagement is aligned and critical to implementing Design-Build best practices, which emphasize early engagement, open communication and integrated project delivery.
• Learn from real-world examples of successful industry engagement, including lessons learned from current and former Federal procurement leaders.
