This panel will bring together perspectives from owner representatives, contractors, VDC professionals, designers, consultants, and industry partners to introduce MEP systems and highlight their critical role in successful project delivery. The discussion will explore how mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology systems influence constructability, cost, schedule, building performance, operations, and long-term value. With a design-build focus, the panel will examine how early collaboration among owners, designers, builders, trade partners, and digital delivery teams can drive innovation and improve project outcomes. The conversation will also provide a forward-looking perspective on the tools, technologies, and digital strategies shaping smarter buildings and connected infrastructure, including VDC, BIM, digital twins, AI-enabled workflows, IoT, smart building systems, smart cities, and the future integration of roads, infrastructure, and building operations”
