DBIA Upper Midwest Region - Navigating Environmental Risks on Alternative Deliver Contracts (November 8, 2023)

  • Registration Closed

Alternative Delivery contracts that entice innovative approaches may pose environmental risk to both the owner and builder.  This is because environmental regulations prevail even the most tightly written contract or best-intentioned project delivery.  In this presentation, Jackie Dylla will review potential environmental pitfalls on alternative delivery projects, including some recent project examples.   Jackie Dylla, CHMM is Vice President of Environment and Corridor Services at KLJ Engineering where she oversees environmental, cultural resource management, right of way, and survey services. In her 25-year career, Jackie has provided environmental expertise to both owners and contractors on more than a dozen alternative delivery contracts, including the I-35W St. Anthony Bridge Rebuild, TH 36 St. Croix Crossing, and recent I 94 Maple Grove to Rogers. Jackie has a degree in Environmental Science from the University of Minnesota, is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, and carries multiple other certifications in Stormwater, Asbestos, and Hazardous Materials.
