Our Industry's greatest barriers to growth are leadership capacity and the ability to equip this new generation of emerging managers to choose, empower and lead their design-build teams forward. We have a tremendous number of technical leaders who are very quickly trying to learn how to lead strategically and culturally. In this session, Dewayne Ables will provide solutions to 4 challenges emerging leaders struggle to overcome. Our Industry is in the middle of a significant transition. It's one of those defining moments where leadership in many companies is being passed on to the Next Generation. Prior to COVID, most DBIA firms focused on identifying who that next leader or leaders might be. Over the past 24 months, that transition has started to happen, and many have had enough time to get in place and actually pick up the reins. Developing partnerships, recruiting great people, and delivering good work are still mission-critical; however, there's a long list of new issues that these emerging leaders have to deal with.
