This session will present a case study of the Broward County Convention Center Expansion and Hotel Design-Build project, exploring how BIM, VDC and other technologies were used to reduce risk and improve project outcomes from the perspective of the Owner Compliance Agent and General Contractor. Attendees will learn about the use of schedule, reality capture, and BIM integration with VDC oversight to manage risk and track project progress in real-time. Our panelists will discuss the benefits, limitations and best practices for implementing various technologies in Design-Build projects from different stakeholder perspectives. The session will also facilitate a discussion among attendees to identify future opportunities for technology in the Design-Build process and encourage a collaborative approach to Design-Build innovation. Attendees will gain practical insights and strategies for using technology to reduce risk and improve outcomes in their own projects.
