The session will examine how team dynamics changed from planning through preconstruction on a donor-funded target price design-build project at Colorado State University. Use of two step, best value procurement with a target price created a challenge for the facilities management team to balance the donor's desire for iconic architecture with the end user's need for functional programmatic space. Use of a large review team and proactively managing the changing team dynamics facilitated project success.
